What Our Yoga Classes Have in Common
All our classes focus on experience, connection, and awareness, rather than performance or competition.
The practice is not about achieving shapes or pushing limits, but about cultivating physical balance, mental clarity, and presence. Yoga is approached as a holistic practice, where movement, breath, and attention work together to support both body and mind, allowing each student to practice in a way that respects their own rhythm, capacity, and needs.
Hatha Yoga (Foundational & Adaptable)
A steady, mindful practice to build balance, awareness, and a strong yoga foundation for all.
This class is a balanced and accessible Hatha Yoga practice designed to build strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and resilience to stress. Each session begins with a gentle warm-up, followed by yoga asana.
In this class, yoga postures are not an end in themselves, but tools to cultivate focus, stability, and mental clarity. The pace is slow, leaving plenty of space for individual adaptation. There is a strong emphasis on breathing, alignment, and mindful awareness, and postures can be adjusted according to injuries, physical limitations, or personal needs, making the class suitable for all levels, including beginners.
The class ends with extended time for deep relaxation, which may include pranayama, guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra), or Nada Yoga with singing bowls. This helps calm the nervous system and allows the effects of the practice to be fully integrated. This class is ideal for students who wish to build a strong foundation in yoga, not only as a physical practice, but as an authentic Hatha Yoga approach supporting body, breath, and mind.
Hatha Yoga – Intense
A focused and demanding practice to build strength, resilience, and mental steadiness.
Hatha Yoga Intense follows the same principles as the foundational Hatha yoga practice, but with greater physical intensity and a faster pace. The class integrates Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) with yoga asana, where postures are often held longer, and there is less recovery time between sequences. This approach builds strength, power, and endurance, both physically and mentally.
A central element of this practice is the use of focused attention to remain steady in challenging postures. Through this process, students cultivate greater resilience to stress, determination, and inner stability. This class is recommended for students who already have a solid yoga foundation, are familiar with yoga asana, and do not have significant injuries or physical limitations.
Hatha Yoga – Flow
A fluid, breath-led practice that builds heat, flexibility through mindful movement.
Hatha Flow is a dynamic and flowing yoga class in Apokoronas, Chania, inspired by Surya Namaskar.
Asanas are linked together in a continuous sequence, with little or no holding of postures, creating a rhythmic and flowing experience.
The practice emphasises the coordination of breath and movement, supporting the development of flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, balance, and coordination. A key focus is maintaining a steady and calm breath while the body moves at a faster pace. This generates heat in the body while allowing the mind to remain stable and focused, supporting stress regulation. This class is ideal for students already familiar with yoga, seeking a more energetic and physically engaging practice, while still benefiting from relaxation at the end.
Pranayama & Meditation
A journey through breath into stillness, clarity, and inner peace.
This class is dedicated to exploring breath and meditation through traditional yogic techniques. The practice begins with gentle warm-up movements to allow the respiratory system to fully expand, preparing the body for conscious breathing.
Students then practice a range of pranayama techniques designed to improve breathing patterns, increase oxygenation, and gradually build tolerance to CO₂ levels, supporting both mental and physical health and balancing the nervous system. Pranayama naturally leads into meditation, making this class a gateway to practices that go beyond the physical body and the thinking mind, cultivating deeper focus, clarity, and inner stillness.
Restorative Yoga Class & Meditation
A deeply restful practice to release tension and restore body and mind.
Restorative Yoga is a deeply calming and rejuvenating practice, designed to support the nervous system and release accumulated stress. The class focuses on breath awareness and restorative postures, with passive stretches held for extended periods.
Most poses are practised lying down, using gravity and full support to allow the body to soften and release tension naturally. This class is suitable for everyone and is especially beneficial for students experiencing stress, anxiety, exhaustion, or physical and mental fatigue, offering space for profound rest and regeneration.
