Where?
The retreat is held on a beautiful organic agrotourism farm where the essence is community and people coming together to connect which is perfectly located in the famous village of Vamos. Known for its creative vibe attracting musicians, artists, jazz festivals and bazaar markets where artisans offer their crafts.
You will be staying in a beautiful stone house constructed with naturally sourced materials and wood interior, in keeping with traditional style farmhouses here in Crete. The houses are furnished with authentic furniture with a lot of elements reflecting the local culture.
‘Yoga without the breath is just a circus’
During the retreat, you will learn unique techniques to experience a state of balance and create a sense of calm within yourself. Mastering those tools is a life-changing experience.
Our mission is to empower you as much as possible during the retreat in using those techniques so that at the end of it, you'll feel confident enough to continue using them in your daily life.
How do those tools and techniques work?
It’s actually very simple! Any time we feel stressed or anxious, our bodies activate our sympathetic nervous system - also known as the ‘fight or flight’ response.
Although this stress response is useful in some situations, we haven’t evolved to live constantly in a high-stress state. Unfortunately, this is what many people find themselves experiencing due to high-pressure jobs and busy lifestyles.
The yoga techniques we’ll be sharing with you will help you decrease your stress levels by activating your parasympathetic nervous system instead - the ‘rest and digest' response. Through breathing exercises, postures and meditation, your restorative nervous system will get activated, allowing your body to find deep relaxation and repair damage induced by stress.

How is the food on the retreat?
Crete is a paradise destination for food lovers and the traditional Cretan diet has been recognized as one of the healthiest diets worldwide.
Nurturing our bodies with fresh homemade food is one of the foundations of health.
Emilie is a nutritionist as well as a Holistic Nutrition Coach and she has carefully created a tailor-made menu based on delicious traditional Cretan vegetarian dishes in keeping with the all-important yogic diet.
You will be served 3 meals per day made of freshly cooked ingredients. You will have the opportunity to test traditional Greek food cooked with love and olive oil. All meals will be vegetarian or vegan with lots of fruits, cooked and raw vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, peas, whole grains, locally made cheese and eggs.
All meals are sugar-free and cooked with extra virgin olive oil.
Meals will be served with water.
Between meals, you can enjoy as well tea and seasonal fruits.
If you have a specific diet (gluten-free, lactose-free, etc.) please get in touch and we will find a way to make it happen. If your diet requires us to purchase some specific ingredients which are not commonly available on the local market, there might be a small additional cost which will be estimated case by case.
Because we want you to be 100% satisfied with the food you will be served during the retreat, once your booking is confirmed, we will be sharing with you a small questionnaire to get to know your dietary restrictions and preferences.
